Trinity's support of Churchwide Assembly decisions lauded by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown
This week, Pastor Paula recieved a handwritten note from United States Senator Sherrod Brown, regarding the 2009 ELCA Churchwide Assembly's decision to allow Lutherans in lifelong, publicly accountable, monogamous same-gender relationships to serve as ELCA associates in ministry, clergy, deaconesses and diaconal ministers.
The note from Senator Brown read, "Reverend Connor, My Church made me proud with its new position on ordination. Thank you for speaking out."
