christian education

Martin Luther once asked, "What do we older folks live for if not for the care of the young, to teach and train them?" The importance Luther placed on education has remained a hallmark of the Lutheran church for centuries and is truly part of out calling.

childcare & faith formation

As one of two churches sharing one building, we have partnered with Lakewood Congregational Church to provide childcare for toddlers through preschoolers every Sunday during worship as well as faith formation for 1st-8th graders.

Due to COVID-19, childcare will be outdoors. To sign up for childcare, please text Rachel Burns at 440-523-0708 by the Friday before the service to reserve your child's spot. If a decision is made to cancel outdoor childcare because of rain, we will inform the families the Saturday night before and the decision will not be reversed if the weather clears up (due to staffing). Outdoor childcare will not be canceled because of heat. Our childcare providers will plan games and activities that involve social distancing such as children’s yoga, chalk drawing, hopscotch, hula hoops, etc.

To sign-up for faith formation, please complete the registration form. We will hold faith formation classes outdoors as long as possible into the fall. We request that children wear a mask if they are old enough and able to wear one.

We kindly ask you to keep your child home if they have any symptoms that could be attributed to COVID-19.
