Community Outreach

Trinity Lutheran's Outreach Program served its first hot meal in 1995. In the 25 years since then, we have expanded our programming and made a major impact on hunger relief in Lakewood, Ohio. On the third Saturday of each month, we serve a hot meal and host a fresh produce distribution, currently served drive-thru and walk-up style, from 10 am to noon.

The mission of The TLC Outreach Program is to deliver basic needs through our hot meal, pantry and produce distribution programs. We are a volunteer-driven organization, relying on many wonderful volunteers each month. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are not in need of new volunteers at this time. We hope to be back up with a full team of volunteers when we bring back our full service community meals and produce distribution.

In lieu of volunteering your time, please consider making a donation. To donate goods or financial support, please contact us at 216-226-8087 or e-mail us here. We also accept donation through PayPal where you can make direct financial contributions on a one-time or monthly basis.

Hot Meals

We served 3,232 plates of food in 2018. Volunteers spent 1,500 hours preparing and serving food to our guests. Please join us for dinner, and to help us serve food to our neighbors!

Community meal takes place on the third Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon.

Fresh Produce

Trinity hosts a Mobile Pantry Produce Giveaway on the 3rd Saturday of each month, between May and November. At each distribution, we give away 6,000 pounds of produce that serves an average of 200 families. This program is paid for and sponsored by the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Please bring your I.D. and your own bags or carts. We serve first come, first served, rain or shine!

Produce distribution takes place on the third Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon.

The Peace and Plenty Garden supplies fresh produce and herbs to our community meals.
